A BRIEF HISTORY

Pulse Music was founded in 2004 by Joel “JK” Kipnis. As an artist-owned-and-operated music production house with studios & offices in NEW YORK CITY and cape town, South Africa. we are focused on creating vibrant, effective music for a wide variety of projects.

Starting his career as a session musician, Joel “JK” Kipnis naturally transitioned into writing and producing records for a diverse array of artists, including D’Angelo, Bon Jovi, Herbie Hancock, Carly Simon and Angie Stone.

In 2004, JK founded Pulse Music. His mission for Pulse has always been to foster a uniquely creative environment. One where composers from an array of disciplines can collaborate, create, and produce original music and sound for any medium. With this driving vision, JK lead the charge in producing and composing original songs and scores for numerous Advertising, Film & TV clients.
